Professor Ivana Bolanča Mirković was born on June 7, 1976, in Zagreb, Croatia. She completed her secondary education at the High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and continued her academic journey at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Zagreb, where she graduated in 2002 with a thesis on “Determination of elements in drinking water by atomic spectroscopy and complexometry.” After graduation, she pursued further studies at the Faculty of Graphics, obtaining a master’s degree in Graphic Engineering in 2005, with a thesis titled “Mechanisms of deinking in the function of the ageing of prints.” She later earned her Ph.D. in 2007 with a dissertation entitled “Ecologically more favourable offset inks and mechanisms of deinking of prints.”
