Education :

Dr. Muhammad Kamran Jamil completed his PhD in Mathematics from Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, GC University, Lahore, Pakistan, in 2016, where he worked on his thesis titled Graph Indices and Graph Products under the supervision of Prof. Ioan Tomescu. Prior to his PhD, he obtained an MPhil in Mathematics from the same institution in 2013, focusing on Properties of the Wiener Index in Graph Theory under Prof. Ioan Tomescu. He holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, awarded in 2009.

Experience :

Dr. Jamil is currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Mathematics Department at Riphah International University, Lahore, Pakistan, a position he has held since 2020. He previously worked as an Assistant Professor in the same department from 2016 to 2020. His academic career began in 2009 as a Mathematics Teacher at Modern College, Lahore. Between 2019 and 2020, Dr. Jamil completed a post-doctoral research project at United Arab Emirates University, focusing on the theoretical and computational aspects of topological indices and the characterization of extremal graphs.

Research Focus :

Dr. Jamilā€™s primary research focus lies in the field of graph theory, with a particular emphasis on topological indices and graph products. He has made significant contributions to understanding the properties and computational aspects of various graph indices, including the Wiener Index, and their applications in different domains. He has also explored algorithms for T-spherical fuzzy information and their soft computing applications. His research is inter-disciplinary, bridging the gap between theoretical mathematics and real-world applications..

Awards:

Dr. Jamil has received several prestigious awards throughout his academic career. In 2019, he was honored with the Best Performance in Research in Department of Mathematics Award by Riphah International University. He also received the Pre-PhD Quality Research Award in 2015 from Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, GC University, Lahore. Additionally, he scored 680 in the GRE Mathematics examination conducted by ETS.
