Dr. Orak completed her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the Ä°zmir Institute of Technology in 2021, with a thesis focused on valorizing wastewater for hydrogen production through photocatalytic oxidation. She holds a Master’s degree from Ege University, where she developed innovative methods for treating micropollutants using monolith structured perovskite catalysts. Her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is also from Ege University. Additionally, Dr. Orak participated in Erasmus programs at UniversitĆ  degli Studi di Salerno, Italy, where she conducted research on photocatalytic removal of pollutants.

Dr. Orak’s research is centered on sustainable chemical processes, particularly wastewater treatment and energy generation using photocatalytic methods.
