Dr. Maurício de Pina Ferreira holds a PhD in Structural Engineering and Civil Construction from the University of Brasília (2010), during which he completed a doctoral internship at Imperial College London. He also earned a Master’s in Civil Engineering (2006) and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (2003) from the Federal University of Pará, Brazil. Additionally, he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Brasília in 2011, funded by CAPES.
Experience :
Dr. Ferreira has been an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pará since 2011. From 2020 to 2023, he served as the Director of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and from 2016 to 2019, he was the head of the MSc Course in Infrastructure Engineering and Energy Development. In 2017, he was a Visiting Professor at the Czech University of Technology in Prague. His professional expertise extends to the design of cast-in-place and precast reinforced concrete buildings, bridges, and concrete structures for hydroelectric power plants. He also supervises MSc and PhD candidates in the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering.
