Academic Experience:
Dr. Dinç Şengönül’s academic journey has been characterized by a commitment to research and teaching in the field of Civil Engineering. Currently serving as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Yildiz Technical University since 2017, her dedication to academia has been demonstrated through various roles. Notably, in 2019, Dr. Şengönül embarked on an Erasmus Traineeship as a Visiting Researcher at Politecnico di Milano in Italy, delving into the Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering. This experience broadened her perspective and enriched her understanding of international practices in Civil Engineering.
Further expanding her global academic footprint, Dr. Şengönül is currently a Visiting Researcher at Technische Universiteit Delft in the Netherlands for the academic year 2022-2023. This prestigious role within TU Delft’s Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences reflects her expertise and the recognition of her valuable contributions to the field. Her combined roles as a researcher, teacher, and international collaborator underscore her passion for advancing knowledge and fostering cross-cultural academic exchange in the realm of Civil Engineering.
